Get a Job - Landing the Work, Career & Rewards You Desire

Chapter 1 : Assessing Yourself

More people have more career choices than ever before; and almost everyone has more opportunities than they envision.  The selection feels boggling, frightening, and all to be made with the speed of a term paper due last Tuesday.  But before striding resolutely down a single path, invest in a couple of days to plan out this life-bending journey.  Sit alone and consider.  Budget ample time to cast aside pressures and distractions and examine your position.

More than a mere job hunt - you are on an identity quest.  It all begins with a few questions which only you can answer.   Consider:

  • - Why do you work?
  • - What’s fun?
  • - For how long in this field ?
  • - And only finally, what are my skills?
